Content Engine

An engine isn't enough.
Porsche set out to turn its Content Engine into a global hub for content production. The platform was in place. The real challenge was making processes, markets, stakeholders and system logic work together across the organisation without compromising the quality of the output.
We therefore looked beyond the CMS. Existing workflows were mapped across the full value chain, dependencies and bottlenecks were identified, and the platform was tested against the requirements of the teams using it.
The next step was to redesign the operating model around the platform. Content structures, governance, roles, approvals and handovers were brought together in one connected workflow. DAM and CMS were treated as parts of the same content operation, rather than as separate tools.
The result is a global setup that gives Porsche a common foundation while leaving markets the flexibility they need. The processes are documented, responsibilities are clear, and teams have the structure required to run and develop the system independently.

What went into it
We began by analysing Porsche’s content processes and evaluating the systems around them. The work covered workflow architecture, content governance and the integration of DAM and CMS, with clear responsibilities and approval paths defined for global and local teams.
Stakeholders from across the organisation were involved throughout the process. This helped align the operating model with the way teams actually work and gave them the documentation and practical guidance needed to run and develop it independently.
